Darlynn (McIver) Kaso (aka Dar to family and friends, Dar-vah-lous to her girlz) is a self taught multi media artist residing in Scott Depot, WV. She is the owner of the online boutique Darvahlous -- art jewelry creations & collectibles, and can be found most days in her work-shop creating her one of a kind hand crafted Vintage Inspired Jewelry, Solder Pendants, Charms, Bejeweled Bottles, digital collage sheets and more.
Dar has been a serial crafter over the years that has tried and loved expressing herself via many art medias. Tole painting one year, crocheting afgans the next which turned into quilting and making Christmas ornaments. Next came rubber stamping, which carried over into scrapbooking that then lead to an interest in cameras and photography so that she could take better photographs for her scrapbooks. When asked about her most recent passion… art jewelry, Dar responded, “I bought some beads and charms for some scrapbook album projects I was working on in 2007, and that turned into a full blown obsession with making jewelry. There are so many interesting and cool things you can do with jewelry that I find myself branching out once again and getting into soldering, my latest passion – its so fun!”
Dar and her husband Philip (aka system administrator) recently opened her on online boutique Darvahlous -- art jewelry creations & collectibles.
